Missed classes
At Art Lab Owensboro, our weekly art and STEM classes are designed to develop process skills and a passion for Art or STEM. Each class is planned carefully with real measurable objectives. Students are encouraged to think about problems and solutions for STEM classes as well as learn valuable content. Our art and STEM activities engage not just the creative part of the child's brain, but also in a cognitive process that involves reasoning, imagining, exploring, experimenting & problem solving.

Classes are scheduled in 6 week sessions. Because classes are structured to build on each other, it isn't possible to "try out" a class. If you are not sure our studio will be a good fit, it is recommended that you visit an Open Lab session or participate in a one time event like "Kid's Night Out Workshop" (KNOW).

Art Lab Owensboro reserves the right to cancel any session that has less than 4 children enrolled. In this circumstance you will receive a full refund.

You may cancel your registration less 5% for fees up to one week before classes begin. Within 1 week before the 1st day of class we can transfer you to a different class/offer credit, but we will not be able to offer refunds.
​
We do not offer refunds for missed classes, but we do allow you to come in and "make-up" a class during Open Lab hours as long as it is done before the next scheduled class. Most classes build on each other from one week to the next. If you are unable to make up a class, we will do our utmost to make modifications to your current project for your continued success.

Preschool classes are a little different. If you miss a preschool class you have the option to "drop-in" to a different preschool class the same week as long as that session is not full. Preschool classes are structured for a make and take experience.

Parties
Art Lab Owensboro is excited to offer the service of private parties. We will work with you closely to help your child have an amazing experience. Check out our party page for ideas. While there are many Saturdays available for booking online, we are open to other evenings or Sunday afternoons. Please contact us for availability.

There are no refunds for parties, but we will work with you to reschedule up to two times within the limits of availability. Parties must be rescheduled within 1 year of the original party date.

K.N.O.W.
Kid's Night Out Workshop is a 3 hour block dedicated to having fun centered around an art or STEM theme.
Children must have a signed code of conduct on file to attend.
​
Refunds are not given for K.N.O.W. registration. If your child is sick, please keep them home and we will transfer your registration fee to another event.

Open Lab
Open Lab is a time when children interact with their adult chaperone. Activities for open lab include art and STEM activities. Planned activities have written or very simple verbal instructions. Staff is available for assistance, but chaperones are the main source of help and encouragement.
​
Refunds are not given for Open Lab, but credit can be applied to a different Open Lab session with in a month of the original purchase.
Special Events
From time to time Art Lab Owensboro may have a special event related to a holiday, theme, or season. Because of the nature of these events, special preparation of materials, limited space, and time constraints there will be no refunds given. We will make an effort to accommodate you during another session based on availability of time and space.
Behavioral Expectations
Art Lab Owensboro has a code of conduct. Code of conduct must be signed by the parent and student for participation in any drop-off event, including but not limited to classes, KNOW, and special events. Appropriate behavior and language is expected from everyone for the benefit of everyone. See code of conduct here.
