Cozy Scandinavian Winter Art Camp Ages: 6–12 Focus: Patterns • Texture • Cool Winter Colors Invite your child to slow down, get creative, and enjoy the calm beauty of winter. In this cozy, Scandinavian-inspired camp, students will explore how artists use repeating patterns, layered textures, and cool color palettes to create artwork that feels peaceful, bright, and full of personality. Projects Include: Watercolor Snowman Painting Students learn to blend icy blues and soft violets while adding charming, repeating patterns to hats and scarves. Patterned Hand-Sewn Mitten Decoration Using pre-punched cardboard and yarn, students practice beginner stitching techniques to create a cozy keepsake full of texture. Modge Podge Mosaic Snowflake Layering patterned and textured papers, students design their own unique snowflake full of cool winter tones and visual rhythm. Scandinavian Pattern Ceramic Windchime A calming, take-home decoration, created with simple patterns and smooth ceramic pieces that create gentle sound and movement. This will be glazed and fired and will be picked up the week after camp is over.
