Mixed-Media Menagerie: Creatures of Imagination & Masquerade Ages: Finished Kindergarten-6th grade. Step into the ultimate artist’s menagerie! This week is all about celebrating the animals we love—whether they walk the earth, star in our favorite cartoons, or exist only in fantasy. Does your artist want to create a realistic clay wolf, a neon-colored cartoon cat t-shirt, and a paper mache dragon mask? They can!. Students may pick a new animal for every project or stick with one favorite theme all week. If they can imagine it, we can build it. The Weekly Project Lineup: Students will create a clay slab animal with textures and patterns. Students will create a paper mache mask that reflects features of their animal choice. Students student will design a custom-t-shirt featuring the animal or character of their choice. Students will explore Gelli-printing, creating custom patterns to cut and assemble into a one-of-a-kind animal collage on large watercolor paper. Dress for the Mess: Between paper mache, clay, and paint, things will get colorful! Please wear art-ready clothes. Stay Hydrated: Please send a labeled water bottle with your artist each day
