Gingerbread Artist Camp Ages: 6–12 A sweet, hands-on winter art experience Step into a world of cinnamon-sparkle creativity! In this playful camp, kids become gingerbread artists, exploring imaginative design, mixed media building, and joyful holiday crafting. We’ll focus on creative expression, construction, and the pure fun of bringing a classic winter character to life. Projects include: Life-Size Gingerbread Friend Kids create a large 3-ft kraft paper gingerbread buddy, stuffed and decorated with paint, yarn, buttons, and colorful cut-paper details. This becomes a take-home character they’ll be proud of! Gingerbread House Collage Using cardboard pieces, textured papers, paint, and layered shapes, students design their own cozy gingerbread cottage full of personality and pattern. Hand-Painted Gingerbread Ornaments A set of small keepsake ornaments painted with the child’s own style — perfect to hang at home or give as gifts. Gingerbread Star Garland (simple & sweet) A final decorative flourish using repeating star shapes for a warm, handmade touch. Throughout camp, children will: Learn layering and collage techniques Practice cutting, shaping, and assembling 3D forms Explore pattern, texture, and expressive color choices Grow confidence in bringing original ideas to life This camp is cheerful, hands-on, and bursting with imagination — the perfect way to enjoy the wonder of the season while creating art kids will treasure.
