The **Frosty Fun Fair: Mixed-Media Workshop** is a 6-week adventure designed to develop complex spatial reasoning, structural design, and fine motor skills by creating a stunning, three-dimensional winter carnival scene. ### **What Your Child Will Learn (And Why It Matters):** * **Geometric Perspective & Design:** We teach foundational concepts of depth! Students will use paper collage to construct the "Hot Chocolate," "Tickets," and "Treats" stands. They will learn to manipulate **parallel lines** to create the illusion of 3D form, practicing views that are head-on and receding into space. This builds crucial spatial and drafting skills. * **Specialized Printing Techniques:** Students will learn the genuine artistic process of **Monoprinting (Gelli Printing)** to create the vibrant, textured papers used for the evergreen trees, resulting in unique textures no one else has! * **Textile & Fine Motor Skills:** We use **Fabric Collage and Layering** to construct our charming ice skaters, promoting detailed cutting and placement for crucial fine motor development. * **Structural Engineering:** Students are challenged to think like designers when building the radial **Ferris Wheel structure** using craft sticks, fostering essential academic skills in geometry and balance. * **Focus & Commitment:** The 6-week format teaches consistency and the reward of committing to a long-term goal, resulting in a **museum-worthy piece** they will be incredibly proud of.
