🎨 Digital Art Magic: Procreate for Kids (6-Week Series) Turn "Screen Time" into "Studio Time!" Is your young artist ready to move beyond paper and pencil? In this beginner-friendly course, students (ages 6+) will transform their iPads into a professional art studio. Over six weeks, we’ll master the "magic tricks" of Procreate—from creating glowing galaxies to designing custom stickers and making their very own animations. Each 50-minute session focuses on one "Superpower Skill" followed by a choice of three fun projects: Space & Nature, Characters & Robots, or Magic & Fantasy. The 6-Week Journey: Week 1: The Magic Wand – Master the brushes and the life-changing "2-finger Undo" gesture. Week 2: The Layer Cake – Learn how to stack your art like clear stickers to keep things organized. Week 3: Perfect Shapes & Instant Color – No more coloring outside the lines with QuickShape and ColorDrop! Week 4: The Shrink Ray – Learn to select, move, resize, and flip your art to create the perfect composition. Week 5: Custom Sticker Design – Special Project! Create a custom character or logo. I will professionally print these designs into physical stickers to be handed out in our final class! Week 6: Making Art MOVE – A beginner’s guide to Animation Assist. We’ll celebrate our final day by bringing our drawings to life! Registration & Equipment Options Option A: $90 – Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Student brings their own iPad with the Procreate App ($12.99) already installed. Must bring a compatible Active Stylus (Apple Pencil or similar). No rubber-tipped pens, please! Option B: $120 – "The Works" (Loaner Kit) No iPad? No problem! Use one of our high-tech in-class iPads and Apple Pencils for an additional $30 equipment fee--choose the add on. The Details: Ages: 6–12 (Must have basic fine motor skills for stylus use). Duration: 6 weeks | 50 minutes per session. Location: 1722 A Sweeney Note for BYOD: Please ensure iPads are charged to at least 80% before class!
